Liturgy of the Word (LOW)

This program is held during 5 p.m.  Mass  on Saturdays and the 9 and 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. These classes are for children in Kindergarten and 1^st grade. In order to attend, the families must be registered parishoners of St. Edward. Children in 1^st grade who attend Liturgy of the Word, are being prepared for their First Communion.  These children will learn basic fundamentals of the Catholic faith, prayers, and the  liturgical seasons. They will participate in Gospel readings in a manner they can relate to.  For children in First grade, attendance is mandatory.  A child participating in Liturgy of the Word should try  not to miss more than 3 classes during the calendar year.
